The EU pays 80% of your systems report
Malta's Business Reports for SMEs grant funds a full €5,000 review of how your business actually runs: where the hours leak, what to systemise first, and what it returns. The EU reimburses €4,000 of it. Your net cost: €1,000.

An ERDF Business Enhance scheme run by Malta's Measures & Support Division. It gives SMEs a €4,000 lump-sum grant, 80% of a €5,000 eligible cost, for a professional Process & Systems Review of their business. It's the same diagnostic we run in our Operational Audit, delivered to the scheme's full specification.

The EU reimburses you €4,000
You keep the invoice and proof of payment, file the claim, and the Measures & Support Division refunds €4,000 to you.
The €4,000 goes to you, not to us. You pay for the report in full, keep the invoice and proof of payment, and the Measures & Support Division reimburses you directly after your claim.
Do you qualify?
- Malta-registered SME
- Up to date with Income Tax, VAT and Social Security
- Within the de minimis state-aid ceiling
- Able to front the cost until the €4,000 reimbursement lands
- Grant approval in place before the work begins
The scheme is a rolling call with a fixed budget. Applications are processed first come, first served. Once the €1.5M is allocated, it's gone.
Start the eligibility check →The build itself can be co-funded too
The report tells you what to build. A second scheme, Digitalise Your SME, then co-funds the digital investment itself: custom software and systems, cloud services, cyber security, hardware and the training to run it all.
- 50% of eligible costs covered in Malta, 60% in Gozo
- Grants of up to €120,000 per investment
- AI projects can unlock up to €107,000 in additional support
- Within the de minimis aid ceiling (€300,000 over 3 years)
Straight answers
Is the €4,000 paid upfront?
No. This is a reimbursement scheme. You pay for the report in full, keep the invoice and proof of payment, and the €4,000 is refunded to you by the Measures & Support Division after your claim.
Can the grant pay for the systems build itself?
Not this one. The Business Reports grant funds the report only, and the Investment Proposal inside it includes a fair market comparison. The build itself can qualify under a separate scheme, Digitalise Your SME, which co-funds up to 50% of eligible digital investment.
Who prepares the report?
Alphatech runs the operational analysis; the financial sections are prepared and reviewed with a qualified lead consultant, as the scheme requires.
What if my business doesn't qualify?
Then skip the grant route and take the standard Operational Audit instead. Same diagnostic thinking, scoped to a 90-minute session.
